I wanted to become a computer programmer since I was young because I always wanted to be different from others like Da Vinci. Unfortunately, unlike Da Vinci, I was never born with such drawing talents and believed that I could never show the world I was different from others. But, ever since I learned that computer programming was something I could show to the world –I was far above others in using computers efficiently-, that was when I started looking through thousands of pages of programming guide books. I was hooked into computer programming right away and it was an addiction. In less than a few weeks, I was able to create my first six page code program which could translate English words to both Spanish and French at the same time. My goal is to make other people’s life–other people’s job- easier with computer programs.
I recently read an article, “Computer Programming”. The article was about how computer programming is something all around us. It was implied that the moment a person turns on a laptop or a desktop, he or she is already using a few computer programs; one of them being your computer’s operating system and another being ITunes. Computer programming is made to help one’s performance with their work.
I personally think God made everyone in a way to use their specialties to help others. Thus, I want use my computer programming skills to ease one’s job; an example would be creating something better than Photoshop to help artists. After all, there is no rule stating out that one cannot help others by using their specialties!
